Object of Game
- There are 3 categories where the students can win the game:
- Square 100 Results:
- Student who lands on "Square 100" wins
- If game ends early by teacher (parent), student(s) closest to "Square 100" wins
- Quiz Results:
- Student(s) with the highest “Performance %” during the 1st iteration of the Quiz Set wins
- Advanced Results:
- Students assets are converted to cash, their mortgages, Bank loans and Demerit Points ($100 per point) are paid, & 33% of their “Charity Donation" is returned + another 100% for the "Top Donator Award.” Winner is then revealed based on who has the most money.
Rules

Die
- Student waits their turn to click on die
- If student rolls a one (1) to a five (5), they advance that number of squares along the board
- If student rolls a six (6), they miss their turn
Exceptions to rolling a six (6):
1. Amusement Park (Sq. 42)
- Student advances to “Square: 58 - City Life Lottery” and rolls the die
- If student rolls a six (6), they win the money in the City Life Lottery
- Bank replaces the $1000 in the City Life Lottery
2. Jail (Sq. 44)
- Student misses three (3) turns
- To attempt to get out of Jail sooner, the student rolls the die on each missed turn
- If student rolls a six (6), they get out of Jail. The student then rolls again to determine the number of squares they advance along the board.
3. Museum (Sq. 68)
- Student chooses one of the following:
- Advance to “Square: 82 - School” and follow the instructions for that square
- Collect $1500 from the Bank
- Roll Die. If the student rolls a one (1) to a five (5), they collect from the Bank $500 multiplied by the number on the die. If student rolls a six (6), they collect nothing.
Squares
- Unless the Square rule states otherwise, student follows the instructions for the square they land on and not the instructions for a square they may be sent to
City Life Lottery
- The Bank puts $1000 into the City Life Lottery
- Fines and debts are paid to the City Life Lottery
- City Life Lottery is won by the student who lands on the City Life Lottery Square
- Bank replaces the $1000 in the City Life Lottery
Quiz Questions
- Quiz question is asked as part of a:
- Round-Robin: All students participate in answering a random question
- School Square: Only the student who lands on a “School Square” answers a question
- "General" only:
- Players are presented with a Quiz card with multiple questions specific to a topic
- $200 City Life dollars is deposited into the player’s Bank account for each correct answer they give
- Player has fifteen (15) seconds times the number of questions on the Quiz card to answer the questions
- Once the “Timer” has expired, play resumes with the next player in the play rotation rolling the die
- "Teachers & Parents Corner" only:
- Students are presented with a single Quiz question
- $500 City Life dollars is deposited into the student's Bank account when answering the question correctly
- Student has fifteen (15) seconds to answer the question
- Once the “Timer” has expired, play resumes with the next student in the play rotation rolling the die
- Students are marked on the answers they give during the first iteration of the Quiz Set (Unanswered questions are considered answered “Wrong”)
- "Percentage Mark" is recorded in both the "Teachers (Parents) Corner / My Students / Stats" & in the "Student Profile / Stats" modules (Student is only marked on the questions they were given if the game ends early)
- Percentage Mark" is “not” recorded in the "Teachers (Parents) Corner / My Students / Stats" or in the "Student Profile / Stats" modules if they have not answered any of the questions
- Questions answered incorrectly, as-well-as the remaining questions from the previous game’s “Wrong Answer Section,” are added to the “Wrong Answer Section” and are specific to the student
- Questions answered incorrectly crossing over from the previous game are permanently removed from the “Wrong Answer Section” when answered correctly
- Quiz Set procedure repeats itself when the “Wrong Answer Section” is used-up
Game Cards
- Student follows the instructions on the "Card" when landing on a “Game Card” square
- Fines & debts are paid to the City Life Lottery
- “Demerit Points” are accumulated by the student until they have fifteen (15) Demerit Points at which point they are returned to "Game Card Square 10." In addition, the student’s motor vehicle insurance rate increases by $1000 and is paid to the "City Life Lottery." (Bank creates a "Loan" if required.)
Purchasing Property
- Student can purchase property from the Bank when landing on a City Life “House” or a City Life “Tower” square, or at any time, from other students
- A mortgage at 3% compound interest per minute will apply if student does not have the money to purchase property
- If student decides to sell a mortgaged property, they can only do so to the Bank and not to other students. A Bank loan at 2% compound interest per minute will apply on the remaining amount owing
- When an opponent lands on a student’s property, the student has the option of collecting a “Visitors Fee” or making the opponent miss their next two turns (House only) or sending opponent to a House they own (Tower only). If the student does not own a House, they can send the opponent to “Square: 40 - Detour.” (Tower only)
Selling Property:
- Players can, at any time, sell properties to the Bank at the original purchase price, or sell them to other Players and negotiate the price
Purchasing Bank Shares
- Student can purchase shares from the Bank when landing on a “Dollar ($) Sign Square,” or at any time, from other students
- A Bank loan at 2% compound interest per minute will apply if student does not have the money to purchase Bank shares
- A student can only purchase a maximum of five (5) shares from the Bank during the game no matter how many shares they have sold to the Bank
- Bank shareholders collect $100 City Life dollars from the Bank for each share they own (e.g. 2 shares = $200, etc.) each time any student lands on a “Dollar ($) Sign Square”
- Dividends are not paid on newly purchased shares until the next time a student lands on a “Dollar ($) Sign Square”
Selling Bank Shares:
- Players can, at any time, sell shares to the Bank at the original purchase price (1 share = $500) and purchase them again later, or sell them to other Players and negotiate the price.
- A student can only purchase a maximum of five (5) shares from the Bank during the game no matter how many shares they have sold to the Bank
My Account
Student can:
- Review their assets including Bank account, property and Bank shares
- Review their mortgages and loans
- Review their driver license Demerit Points
- Send bids on other students assets
- Offer their assets for sale to other students
- Receive offers to buy other students assets
- Receive offers to sell assets to other students
- Sell assets to the Bank
- Donate to Charity: (Game Results)
- Students receive a 33% return on their donations
- Student who has donated the most money has their money returned (Top Donator Award)
- Review their “History” which details their play in every round including the receipt of their $1000 City Life dollar paycheck every 10 “Rounds”
Finish
- Student who lands on "Square: 100 - Finish" receives $5000 City Life dollars from the Bank which ends the game
- Teacher (Parent) can end the game early ($5000 City Life dollars is not awarded)
Game Results
- When game ends, students are brought to the "Game Results" where their performance is displayed in all 3 categories: "Square 100 Results," "Quiz Results" & "Advanced Results"
